I've always loved Tom Baker's scarf when he played the Doctor in the BBC series 'Doctor Who', I've always wanted one. Recently I discovered a website that had the instructions to make it! So I commissioned my mother to knit me a Tom Baker scarf. Its 14 foot long and weighs over a kilogram and is very very warm. I get alot of strange looks out in the street. All I need now is a metal dog and a blue police box.

How can you not know Doctor Who? DOctor Who is a long running sci-fi series by the BBC in the UK that started in the mid 60s and ran til mid 80s, and was recently revived. Basicly its about an alien who travels through time in a vehicle that looks like a big blue police box (vintage English phonebooth). He has verious adventures and saves countless people and planets from all sorts of woes. And as a novel way of changing actors, the race the Doctor belongs to, the Timelords, have the ability to 'regenerate' whenever they are seriously injured, but when they do so they change their appearance and personality. Apparently they can do this about 20 times. Tom Baker played the fourth Doctor in the series and was the longest serving actor (for seven seasons) and was iconic for his battered hat, curly hair and a massively long scarf as well as a fondless for jellybabies.
