| Pretty damn intense battle and knowing that there will be a second season the overall end of this first season was pretty good. The setting and characters of this anime were quite lovely and I'm definitely looking forward to see what the second season will have to offer us. All in all a good anime I must say. |

| That limiter his sister put on him is pretty annoying. Although its becoming more apparent now that the writer/s just added that to the story to not make him too overpowered, because it seems vast majority of anime fans hates op main protagonist while I certainly don't. This anime is really nothing spectacular. Its your usual story from a light novel that is plaguing the LN industry. Asterisk and Rakudai no kishi cavalry has a very similar story and characters and it doesnt help that they're both aired at the same season so I sometimes forget which is which. Im pretty sure Im not alone with that. But In my opinion, cavalry is better by a long shot. Not really too excited for the second season, but Im going to check it out anyway. |

Hey ufotable did it and everyone's praising them for "god tier" fights despite them being literally random fireworks, so I guess A1 wanted to capture the same audience. Even if the fights were somehow better I would find it REALLY hard to care about any characters in this show (except for wanting to murder the pat-my-head bitch) |

| Watched it all in one day. Clearly this is my sort of show (thought I prefer a solid romance instead of a harem.) The plot seemed to get a little lost, so I'm hoping they make up for that in the second season. |

| Not sure how to feel about this show. It had some entertaining moments but it was mostly just predictable and... bland, I guess? I mean, it's a pretty standard magical school setup with a cast of characters that is fine but mostly unremarkable. The Urzaiz sisters were probably the most interesting female characters and they aren't even a part of the harem. Also, they went through this whole opening segment in the first episode about how the world was changed and whatnot but they didn't really explore that much at all. It felt less like world building and more like it was just a step up from "these kids go to school to fight with magical powers and laser swords because, you know, reasons". Since this is getting a second season, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that it will actually look into this stuff more, give this a 5/10, and move on. |

| Yep they gave us the harem ending, but i still ship Ayato x Claudia. The last fight was really good and epic but it was a little bit rused, the fight could be more intense if they put work into that one particullar fight scene. The 2nd season has been confirmed, finally we get to see some new characters to be added to the harem circle, i'm curious about Sylvia, she seems interesting. Overall score 7/10, wouldn't mind for a 2nd season |

| Decent episode due to the action. What's the deal with introducing a new animation style during the fight? It's a bit late for that. This anime started out decent... then it turned into generic action harem... without much action. 3/10 |

| a bit epic fight against gravity girl Irene! the art changed a bit while Ayato rampaged while playing the OP music by Shiena Nishizawa! If those three girls didn't interrupt and rushed inside the room to check-out Ayato, Julis would have kissed Ayato...ALMOST! Guess we'll have to wait again for S2! 4/5. 7/10. |

| This was about as generic as it gets. I mean, I wouldn't call it bad but it certainly wasn't special in any way. It barely managed to get something resemblling a plot go. This is one of the major downsides to the current "we only make one-cour shows to maybe get you interested in the source material" model of the industry. Too bad that it's usually not enough to actually spark my interest. This show would be the perfect example, I'll probably have forgotten about it in a month since the plot never made it past the "yeah there is actually somethign going on" stage. 6/10 I guess. Edit: Apparently a second season is already confirmed, kinda making my point mood. However this leads to another thing that's been annoyning me for quite a while: split cour. If this was a 24 episode show I could watch in one go, I'd do it. But by the time the second season even starts airing I already won't care about this anymore, so I won't watch it. (I guess I ended up ranting) |

| I feel like I have future sight to see how predictable it is. Like, screaming for his true power. That just A-1 things.. 7/10, cringey stuff, cliché stuff, it hurts to watch but at heart I liked it. |

| And thus the show ends with the tournament going. Pretty enjoyable show overall. Irene getting beat felt kinda rushed imo but oh well. Romance wise, would have been nice to see Julis and Ayato kiss but I suppose they are saving that for later. That tease was good and then it leads to Ayato getting face mushed by boobs. Hilarious how Kirin just walks up to Ayato and puts his head on her chest. The guy has a well lit harem, probably the most likable harem I've seen. So now everyone knows about Ayato's weakness. It was bound to happen sooner or later. It'll be interesting to see how things go on from now. And that after credits scene. 8/10 |

| I normally don't bother watching the seen one seen them all genre called harem much anymore, I was talked into it by a friend, Surprisingly at the start I wasn't automatically put off by it like the usual, was interested enough. I'll give it that it doesn't completely have the standard 6 character with each character being the standard genric archetype, until the 13 year old was brought in...Half way through it became apparent the story was going no where soon and became uninspiring to really continue. Struggled to finish the last 5 episodes..somehow managed. In the end it was exactly as I expected, watching the same characters go through the same development as seen in every other show tagged harem, was never something so shallow that I fancied. |

| Julis and Ayato was so close for a kiss damn, this one of the part that i really hate Harem, when they're about to kiss, something always happens, if they don't even kiss or get together in the 2nd season, i'm going to give this show under average because of the Harem genre, i just wanted to give this show a try, well if we take Harem out of it i will give this season a 8/10 kinda enjoyed the fighting scenes at the end, but because of the harem i'm going to give it a 5/10 at this season, as i said above, if they don't get together i'm going to give it under average at the 2nd season. |

SUPER KAMI GIGA MOTORBOAT CLAUDIA'S LOVELY OPPAI! Let Claudia nurse you and let her stay the whole night. Don't screw this up, Ayato. Dat post credit scene. It was an okay ending. Claudia proving once again that she is best girl and she will continue to be in the future. |

| What a nice way to end season 1, last episode and this was were very enjoyable to watch! The series does improve alot from the first couple of episodes, I just think the main problem is that most of the harem cast (aside Claudia, she is always a joy) suffers when they are not the focus of the plot, what I mean is whenever they was an episode focused on Julis, she would shine everytime, once it is over, meh. Same for most of the girls, Kirin was a best girl on her arc, but with that over, she just lost her charm to me, the anime fails to bring it out, outside her character arc, there needs to be a better balance on this. Visuals for S1 were decent, with some surprising fighting sequences here and there, a nice ED and overall an enjoyable cast of girls, I only found Saya really lacking, devoid of any charming feature to her. Eager for S2! 7.8/10 |

| Ayato needs to hurry up and take Claudia up on her offer. Imagine how many nights he could have spent with her if he had! I'm pretty satisfied with how this first season ended. I'm mildly surprised that they actually got to the Festa tournament. Compared to the many LN adaptations that stop significantly short of the main events they're building up to, that's a significant improvement. The fights were also consistently cool too. My favorite had to be the first duel between Kirin & Ayato. The swordplay was just really captivating. Thought I'd put S2 off for a bit, but I'm definitely going to get to it soon. 7/10 |

| No surprise until the end, Ayato of course finishes it himself and everyone sees his weakness. Overall the usual harem story with a dense and boring protagonist. 3/10 |

| Definitely an entertaining show. The fights were quite decent even if they often felt rushed. I really loved the OP and ED, very catchy both of them. So Ayato and Julis managed to beat Irene and made a step forward to the second half of the festa. It's sad that Ayato is handicapped because of his seal. But maybe he can solve this problem in season 2. The biggest problem in his future fights will definitely be the fact that everyone knows about his weakness only be able to fight for 5 minutes on his highest level. So that Eberwein guy really knew the sister of Ayato. And is it just me or is the guy at the end the same Ayatos sister fought and lost against? The will be exciting to see. Damn that was close. Julis almost had a chance for a kiss. Oh well at least Ayato got his harem treatment :D 7/10 |

| It's not like I want Rance to be the lead in a harem show, but dang Ayato, be at least a little more assertive here. Not a bad first cour for this show I'm hoping we'll get more romantic development between Ayato and his harem in the next one. |

| This rates a SOLID 8/10 on the LN Only Whiner Scale, maybe pressing for a 9/10 I've found that Anime based on a long, complex LN need to be creative if they're going to be entertaining and fit the story into 1 or 2 seasons. the more the LN fans shriek and whine over an anime tells me that the adaptation was pretty creative. I have found that if you read a book that you really like, DON'T WATCH THE VIDEO ADAPTATION. Simple as that. Don't believe me? Try The Hobbit on for size. People who never read the book loved it. 'nuff said. I've found in the Astrisk War that the characters were fairly well developed, and they dragged out the romance between Ayato and Julis unlike Chivalry of a Failed Knight where Ikki and Stella resolved their relationship quite early. The only failing I've seen in this anime is the lack of eechi, the eechi we've seen is typical, walked in when a girl was changing, lost bikini top at the pool, same old same old. We need more creative eechi. |
